Adult Vacation Bible School 2026 Materials

What a joy it was to conclude a well-organized, well-attended, and wonderfully engaging Vacation Bible School! This year’s theme was “Finding Jesus,” grounded in Matthew 6:21: “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
For the Adult VBS class, we explored this theme through Luke 2:41–49, where Mary and Joseph discover that Jesus is no longer traveling with them after the Passover feast. Our central question was:
If Jesus is my treasure, why does it seem like I lose track of Jesus and so often find myself searching for everything else?
Across three nights, the class moved from assumption to awareness, from drift to return, and from religious activity to the Father’s business. We reflected on how faithful people can still lose sight of Jesus, how spiritual distance can hide inside routine and busyness, and how we can return to Christ through prayer, obedience, self-reflection, and ministry.
For those who were unable to attend, were serving in other areas of VBS, or would simply like to revisit the teaching, we are making the Adult VBS materials available to the entire church family.
Class Materials
The materials include the PowerPoint presentation and the handout which includes key teaching statements, reflection questions, review questions, a Search Map activity, and a final commitment section for continued spiritual reflection.
