Hiring: Support Companion & Direct Care Assistant

A support companion and direct care assistant is being sought to accompany a physically disabled adult male university student through classes, extracurricular activities, and campus life in Foggy Bottom, Washington, DC.

This flexible role may be a good fit for a college or university student or a young professional who is dependable, outgoing, and enjoys supporting others.

Pay: $22.77 per hour

Schedule: Full-time, part-time, weekend, and overnight shifts available; up to 40 hours per week

Approximate start date: First week of January 2027

Responsibilities include:

Accompanying the student to classes, extracurricular activities, and events

Helping with campus navigation and transportation

Assisting with errands and appointments

Supporting daily routines, including activities of daily living (ADLs)

Requirements: Applicants must be at least 18, reliable, friendly, and have strong communication skills. A background check is required.
