Test What You Remember! What Made Them Dance? Sermon Review Quiz

What happens when the presence of God gets close enough to challenge everything else that has been trying to rule our lives?

In “Gimme That Ol’ Time Religion (Or They Don’t Dance No Mo’) All They Do Is This,” we journeyed through 2 Samuel 6:12–19 and watched David worship before the Lord with his whole body, his whole heart, and all his might. But the message was about more than dancing. It was about who is really sovereign, the freedom that comes when we surrender ourselves to God, and what happens after the worship is over.

Because David danced, but David also served. The body that became free before God became available to bless somebody else.

Now it’s time to see what stayed with you!

This 25-question Sermon Review Quiz includes multiple-choice, true/false, and fill-in-the-blank questions covering the Scripture, the sermon, and our devotional reflection. As you work through it, don’t just ask, “Do I remember the right answer?” Ask the deeper question:

What has such a grip on me that I am no longer free before God, and if God sets me free, who around me should experience the difference?

So come on, Pilgrim. Put on your thinking cap, shake off those lesser gods, and see how much you remember.

And while you’re taking the quiz, keep listening for the question underneath the whole message: What made them dance?
