Sermon Text: John 6:16–20

In John 6:16–20, the disciples find themselves in the middle of the sea, surrounded by darkness, wind, and rising fear. They are too far from where they started and not yet where they are going. Then, in the very place where fear feels strongest, Jesus comes walking toward them.

This week’s sermon, “Transform: When Jesus Comes Walking,” reminds us that the answer to fear is not always the absence of storms, but the presence of Christ in the middle of them. The darkness may be real. The waves may be real. The fear may be real. But none of them get to be the center of the story. Jesus does.
